HOA Informational Email 5.2.2025
Dear Magnolia Shores owners,
The board of directors requested that we send out the attached information to explain a little about what an HOA is and why does it exist. There is also a little information about why neighborhoods choose to hire HOA managers. Please take a few moments to read through the information. We hope it will help clarify a few common misconceptions.
We understand that there was some frustration over recent notices. Please remember that the site visit team does not know you or your circumstances. They are a separate group who are trained to find restriction violations and enforce them in an impartial manner. They are not to engage with owners or knock on doors. They are there for a specific purpose and due to the distance they travel in a day they have limited time. They will not know that you had a recent illness or anything else that may have prevented you from your regular home maintenance.
While some notices may seem insignificant to some, if they were ignored, the issue could eventually become an annoyance to neighbors and could invoke conflict. You live in the neighborhood full time and see things before us. You will see it every day. Our team is trained to be proactive. The COURTESY notice that you receive is meant to open communication with our team and to point out a potential issue that we think may need your attention before it becomes an annoyance for someone else. It is also your opportunity to let us know what is going on and tell us if you are working to resolve the issue or to give us the background information of the matter.
Please know that some owners rent their homes out or may not live in them full time. These notices may be the only way they can know there is an issue. You may see the issue for weeks while it takes them a couple of notices in the mail to even realize that anything is wrong. There are many in the neighborhood that work hard to maintain their home and their yards. Your efforts are noticed and are appreciated. However, the site visit team visits multiple neighborhoods across multiple states on the Gulf Coast and sometimes several per day. They may not remember that you normally keep up your yard and home if they see something needing attention. Please do not take offense to their reminder. If you need assistance, you are encouraged to contact CMGT through the portal at that point the manager will assist you. Our goal is to see that an issue is resolved quickly and to assist those who need help. The intent is for correction before it reaches fines and to help keep Magnolia Shores a great place to live.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,
